Travel Permit/Document
Issuance of Travel Permit allowing due repatriation to Bangladesh is subject to the clearance of the Embassy as well as of the concerned Bangladesh authorities. So, the applicant seeking / the authority requesting for/the organization facilitating voluntary repatriation may refrain from making payment until clearance is confirmed by the Embassy.
Requirements:
a. Duly filled-in the Application Form;
b. Three color photographs with white background taken recently within the last six months;
c. Valid document in support of Bangladesh identity such as present passport;
d. Person to appear for consular interview, if necessary;
Fee: 5-7 days delivery time for Regular US$ 44.00 / Same day delivery for Urgent US$ 82.50 (if expired passport is machine readable otherwise it takes more time).
NO REFUNDS: Fees once received, cannot be refunded, even if the application is withdrawn or service cannot be rendered.
Method of payment: (Cash or Personal check not to be accepted), Please pay to the “Embassy of Bangladesh’’ in the format of Money Order/Cashier Check/Official Check only.

URGENT NOTICE FOR IMMEDIATE ATTENTION
In accordance with the response to matters relating to COVID-19, until further notice, the Embassy of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh in Washington, D.C. will be opened (limited) to in-person consular services to the public, effective from Monday, June 22, 2020.
Wearing a mask is mandatory for all kinds of service seekers during walk-in or in-person service time.
Office Hours: Monday - Friday, 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM (except holidays)
Receiving Time: Applications for services (Like issue of new/duplicate passports, renewals and miscellaneous services on Passports, VISA, NVR, Dual Nationality Certificate, Travel Permit/Document etc) are accepted between 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
Delivery time is between 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. No application is received after 1:00 PM except in the cases of emergencies, such as death or illness in the family.
Services by mail will remain active and by fulfilling the requirements of having services by mail, service seekers may get their consular services.

Please note:
a) Until further notice, all persons travelling to Bangladesh, who already have valid Visas/NVRs/Travel Permit, must need to present a health certificate of PCR Test (in English or with English translation) from a certified physician/clinic/pharmacy, to be obtained within 72 hours of travel, ensuring not affected by COVID-19 before the immigration officer upon arrival in Bangladesh.
b) Any traveler who lived in or visited any corona virus affected countries are advised to keep in mind the condition of presenting health certificate and are subject to 14 days of quarantine upon arrival in Bangladesh. Health Officials at the entry points would decide whether they would be self-quarantined or in Government run facilities. Those under self-quarantine would be monitored by law enforcement agencies for strict compliance.
c) Traveler arriving in Bangladesh may face the health screening and may subject to 14 days of quarantine. Health officials at the entry points would decide whether they would be self-quarantined or in government run facilities.
