PASSPORT VISA NVR DNC FEES

Travel Permit

Travel permit (TP) is issued only in case of going back to Bangladesh when the applicant does not have a valid passport and does not have adequate time to wait for making/reissuing passport. After returning to Bangladesh, if that person wants to leave Bangladesh, s/he must get a valid passport.

The applicant must have a Bangladeshi machine readable passport (MRP). The Embassy is unable to process/issue a Travel Permit in favour of the hand-written passport holder. The hand-written passport holder can apply for e-passport which takes 45 to 60 working days to deliver the new passport.

Requirements:

a. Duly filled-in the Application Form;
b. Applicant must provide email address and phone number on application form;
c. Color photographs 3-copies with white background taken recently;
d. Valid document in support of Bangladesh identity such as the most recent machinre readable passport (MRP);
e. Photocopy of Green Card if the applicant is a Green Card holder;

Fee: 5-7 days delivery time for Regular US$ 14.30 / Same day delivery for Urgent US$ 27.50.

Method of payment: Please pay to the “Embassy of Bangladesh’’ in the format of Money Order/Cashier Check/Official Check (not older than 30 days). Cash or Personal check or Credit card will not be accepted. In case of more than one applications submitted together, separate payment has to be made for each applicant.

NO REFUNDS: Fees once received, cannot be refunded, even if the application is withdrawn or service cannot be rendered.

Due to the resurgence of Covid-19 pandemic, particularly as Omicron variant has become the dominant strain in the United States, the walk-in consular services offered by the Embassy is suspended from December 28, 2021 until further notice.

Service by Mail: Applicants may send their application by mail (USPS or FedEx). If so, the applicant must provide a self-addressed return envelope (prepaid/with appropriate postage stamps) and tracking number of Priority/Express Mail. Applicants belonging to same mailing address can send their applications together in one envelope and enclose one return envelope.
