PASSPORT VISA NVR DNC FEES

Travel Permit/Document

Issuance of Travel Permit allowing due repatriation to Bangladesh is subject to the clearance of the Embassy as well as of the concerned Bangladesh authorities.  So, the applicant seeking / the authority requesting for/the organization facilitating voluntary repatriation may refrain from making payment until clearance is confirmed by the Embassy. Every applicant should have machine readable passport (MRP). The Embassy is unable to process/issue a Travel Permit in favor of the hand-written passport holder.

Requirements:

a. Duly filled-in the Application Form;
b. Applicant must provide email address and phone number on application form;
c. Color photographs 3-copies with white background taken recently;
d. Valid document in support of Bangladesh identity such as present passport; 
e. Photocopy of Green Card if the applicant is Green Card holder;
f. Person to appear for consular interview, if necessary;

Fee: 5-7 days delivery time for Regular US$ 14.30 / Same day delivery for Urgent US$ 27.50.

NO REFUNDS: Fees once received, cannot be refunded, even if the application is withdrawn or service cannot be rendered.

Method of payment: Please pay to the “Embassy of Bangladesh’’ in the format of Money Order/Cashier Check/Official Check only. Cash or Personal check or Credit card will not be accepted.

* Please note, due to the current outbreak of new variant of COVID, the service time may differ.

URGENT NOTICE FOR IMMEDIATE ATTENTION

In accordance with the response to matters relating to COVID-19, until further notice, the Embassy of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh in Washington, D.C. will be opened (limited) to in-person consular services to the public, effective from Monday, June 22, 2020.

Wearing a mask is mandatory for all kinds of service seekers during walk-in or in-person service time.

Receiving Time: Applications for services (Like issue of new/duplicate passports, renewals and miscellaneous services on Passports, VISA, NVR, Dual Nationality Certificate, Travel Permit/Document etc) are accepted between 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Delivery time is between 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. No application is received after 1:00 PM except in the cases of emergencies, such as death or illness in the family.

Services by mail will remain active and by fulfilling the requirements of having services by mail, service seekers may get their consular services.

Service by Mail: Applicants may send their application by mail. If so, applicant must provide a self-addressed return envelope with appropriate postage stamps and tracking number for Priority/ Express Mail of the United States Postal Services (USPS) only. Please put it to the attention of the “Passport & Visa Wing”. We will not accept a return envelope unless it is a Priority (Postage Stamp $7.95) / Express Mail (Overnight service postage stamp $26.35) of the United States Postal Services (USPS).  Applications received by mail may need additional working days for its processing.

Please note:

NOTICE on Mandatory 14-days institutional quarantine for the passengers arriving to Bangladesh

a) Until further notice, all persons travelling to Bangladesh, who already have valid Visas/NVRs/Travel Permit, must present a health certificate of PCR Test (in English or with English translation)  from a certified physician/clinic/pharmacy, to be obtained within 72 hours of travel, ensuring that travelers are not affected by COVID before the immigration officer upon arrival in Bangladesh.

b) Any traveler who lived in or visited any corona virus affected countries are advised to keep in mind the condition of presenting health certificate and are subject to 14 days of quarantine upon arrival in Bangladesh. Health Officials at the entry points would decide whether they will be self-quarantined or quarantined in Government run facilities. Those under self-quarantine would be monitored by law enforcement agencies for strict compliance.

c) Traveler arriving in Bangladesh may face the health screening and may be subject to 14 days of quarantine. Health officials at the entry points will decide whether they will be self-quarantined or quarantined in Government run facilities.
