Hours of Operation
All offices are closed on Saturday, Sunday, and on occasions during Holidays of America and Bangladesh.

Embassy operating hours are Monday-Friday 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 pm, Embassy hours may differ due to the current outbreak of new Coronavirus. Communication via email is preferred during this period.

Receiving Time: Applications for services (Like issue of new/duplicate passports, renewals and miscellaneous services on Passports, VISA, NVR, Dual Nationality Certificate, Travel Permit/Document etc) are accepted between 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Delivery time is between 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. No application is received after 1:00 PM except in the cases of emergencies, such as death or illness in the family.

In accordance with the response to matters relating to COVID-19, until further notice, the Embassy of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh in Washington, D.C. will be opened (limited) to In-Person/Walk-In Consular Services for the public (Mask Wearing is Mandatory), effective from Monday, June 22, 2020.

Services by mail will remain active and by fulfilling the requirements of having services by mail, service seekers may get their consular services.

All persons wishing to submit applications for the consular services should visit the Embassy’s webpage (www.bdembassyusa.org) for checklists and application specific instructions/ requirements. All applications being mailed to the Embassy should be sent and addressed to:
